"My Course, My Choice"

"Simplicity of Life"

I'm just a simple lady with a simple dream to have a decent work.
'Til one night, my grandfather asked me what course I would take. He gave me options for I haven't made my mind up yet. Law, Optometry, Radtech, Biology, Psychology, and Dentistry, these were some of the choices I should choose.

"Why Choose Dentistry?"

I chose dentistry instead of the others. Why? First and foremost, it's because I got curious on what is its journey it would take me. I remember myself way back my elementary days, I extracted my own teeth by using a thread and pull it by my own hand or the door knob feeling no pain at all and cleaned it all by myself. Second, I was convinced to increase the population of dentists in our province for they were only less than 15. Honestly, there are hundreds of reason why I chose dentistry and these were just some of them.

"Road to Dentistry..."

Through my journey towards dentistry is not easy. We have our ups and downs. Tears that are not easy to handle particularly in the examinations and test results. There comes a time when I almost had enough of studying, to the point where I can't understand what I am reading anymore and then break down. Pressure, class instructors, and deadlines could be some of the reasons why students had their mental break downs.

We Are Warriors! I AM A WARRIOR!

But I believe that, we, students are warriors. We are in a battle field with a mindset of no pain, no gain. We strive hard for our future, family supporting our backs, and patients waiting to be helped. As one of the dentistry students, I have no regrets taking up this course. There may be hundred reasons to fall on my knees and break, however, I got thousand reasons to rise, stand on my feet, and go on. Life must go on. Take a rest but don't give up. The war is just about to begin and He is there to look after you.
